Transform Your Life with A.T.P
by Ted P. Attreides

Many believe that this is an impersonal material universe. A universe separated by vast voids and very little else. A universe of random, isolated beings and events.

For those with spiritual vision however, this whole universe is a manifestation of cosmic Love. We live in an ocean of Love, but because it is so near to us, we sometimes need to be shocked to attention, in order to become aware of its nearness and importance.

There is a brief story that expresses this truth:

A little fish was once told that without water it could not live, and it became very afraid. It swam to its mother and, trembling, told her about the need for water. The mother gently said, "Water, my darling is what we're swimming in."

Just like that the little fish most of us are unconscious of the Reality around us. When we come into this world, we experience a profound forgetfulness; we are asleep. Everything that happens from then on is the process of waking up to the fact that we are loved by a Beneficent yet Unseen Reality; and of discovering that the core of our being is Love.

This search for our core includes both the outer and the inner worlds of a human being. The first of these, the outer world of physical existence is perceived through the physical senses, through a nervous system that has been developed by nature over millions of years.

On the other hand, the mystery of the inner world is perceived through moments of contemplation, inner silence and meditation, and through sharing of one another's simple human presence, and development of our innate human qualities of friendship, nurturing and love.

Combining these inner and outer worlds in a practical, life-affirming and thoroughly modern way is the essence of a unique and state of the art program called Accelerated Transformative Practice -- ATP for short.

What is Accelerated Transformative Practice?

ATP is a dynamic, one-year Self Discovery Program that enables you to integrate you inner and outer worlds in ways never before possible.

The ATP program accomplishes this, and much more, by integrating 7 simple lifestyle actions with a wholistic form of learning based on 12 unique lessons. It is presented in weekly installments, which allow you to absorb, integrate and ultimately master small changes that, over time, produce great changes in all aspects of your life.

The basic idea of ATP is simple: The more aspects of your being that you exercise in your daily life, the more likely that transformation will occur. (Transformation here refers to achieving and enjoying your full human potential -- the other 90 percent of your complete being.)

In other words, ATP suggests that we cannot leave any major part of ourselves behind. We are of a piece, mind, body, spirit, and heart, and only by recognizing and honoring this fact can we transform ourselves into complete human beings.

Therefore ATP integrates all aspects of your being -- physical, emotional, mental and spiritual -- into one comprehensive program.

Here's the meaning behind the name ATP:

Accelerated: The ATP program is accelerated because it smartly integrates

  • body (physical fitness, diet, and breathing)
  • mind (affirmations, visualizations, learning new ideas)
  • spirit (meditation, contemplative prayer, spiritual discussions)
  • heart (loving self-others, community activities)

Transformative: The ATP program is transformative in that it is aimed at conscious, positive change in body and being.

Practice: It is a practice in that it involves regular, disciplined activities that are devoted to long-term personal and social well -- being, happiness and fulfillment.

Although this is a good start at defining the components that make-up our inner and outer worlds, it is by no means the whole story of what ATP represents.

Exercising physical, emotional, mental and spiritual components within our self is very commendable and transformative in itself. But in this modern world, it just is not enough!

Today we live in complex worlds of personal relationships at home and at work, and participate as global citizens in our cities, states, and nations. Therefore, unlike the Yoga Teachers of yesteryear who sat on a mountain top and meditated for 10 to 20 years, we cannot ignore these aspects of our lives. Nor can we, in good conscience, ignore the obligations that come from them.

On some level we are each either a part of the many environmental and human-suffering problems around us, or we are part of the solution. There is little room left for bystanders.

Therefore, we are compelled to broaden our notions of what it means to live a complete life to include, A. Our personal relationships with others and, B. Our styles of participating in the social and natural worlds around us. It is for this reason then that the ATP program focuses on exercising all the basic levels of a human being -- physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual -- not only in self, but in culture and nature as well.

What really makes ATP different!

There are many people today who are attempting to lead more wholistic lives by integrating Yoga, or meditation or a natural-foods diet into their daily lifestyles. These are very commendable and worthwhile efforts and they should be applauded.

What makes ATP dramatically different than these single approaches towards integration however is that ATP is a much quicker, easier and many times more effective way, than any of these isolated approaches.

One of the most compelling attributes of ATP is that it is the only personal development program that has successfully integrated the findings of Spiral Dynamics, and the discoveries of the Human Consciousness Project, as change agents.

Spiral Dynamics is an incisive and profound model of human behavior and development that is currently taught and presented by Professor Don Beck.

On the other hand, the so-called Human Consciousness Project is a spectacular research effort that involves hundreds of researchers from around the world, and includes a series of multi-disciplinary approaches that together provide the best picture of the entire range of human capacity and consciousness. The elements of Spiral Dynamics coupled with the profound amount of physical scientific research, makes ATP the only personal development program likely to produce profound and sustainable changes in your life.

The synergy created by this integrated and wholistic approach is thousands of times more effective than any single, non-integrated approach, such as only meditating or only eating a healthy diet.

The result of this integration is literally a powerful quantum jump -- an accelerated, spiral unfolding of human potential and development unlike anything you have ever experienced in the past.

Here's a brief review of benefits you get from practicing those 7 lifestyle components.
